For the past decade, Captify’s tech and engineering hub has been based in Kyiv and it has been devastating to see what has unfolded in Ukraine over the past two weeks and how it has affected the lives of our Captify family. Captify stands in support of Ukraine against the Russian Invasion. Our primary focus during this time has been ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our team and we’re pleased to confirm that all members are currently accounted for.
As a family, we have also come together to explore other ways we can support those affected by the crisis, and our Ukrainian team has chosen Save the Children Ukraine as the charity that Captify will be raising donations for over the next year and beyond.
As the conflict unfolds, Save the Children are delivering lifesaving aid to 3.5 million vulnerable children and their families by:
- Working in neighboring countries to help the hundreds of thousands of people who have been forced to flee their homes
- Distributing essential supplies and winter kits of clothing and blankets as temperatures plunge below freezing
- Providing cash and vouchers assistance to families to meet basic needs like food, rent, and medicine
- Offering vital mental health and psychosocial support to children and their families
- Providing access to safe, inclusive, quality education
For the first fundraising initiative, Captifyers across the world have come together for a charity raffle—and with everyone’s support and generous contributions, we have already raised over £9,000 in donations.
